Another year has passed and before I knew it my Talent Agency was recommending that we update our headshots again! Rebecca Pfeifer Photography is the photographer that my agency uses and if you are a local reading this, she is amazing! I am uh-bsessed with a lot of her work. I love supporting other local talent so if you haven’t already and you’re in the area give her Facebook Page a like!

I remember submitting for my very first commercial using the photos that she took and since then I’ve been able to add so many jobs to my acting resume. From spending 8 hour days at Lambeau Field to film a commercial, to my most recent job of being an Extra on “Empire” I’ve learned that in this industry a picture really is worth a thousand words.

As a fashion blogger every outfit post might seem like a “photoshoot” but I promise you it’s not, there is a lot of hard work that goes into photography and it was nice to just let loose and have fun. Working with a photographer that not only makes you feel comfortable but makes you smile as well is always a plus. From lighting and angles a professional eye is always a nice touch, can you believe these were taken in a hotel lobby?

If you are a blogger I do recommend getting a few professional photos taken every once in a while. It really does elevate your content and one thing I’ve learned as an entrepreneur is that first impressions are everything! If you are looking to update your LinkedIn profile, get some new headshots, capture a special moment such as a wedding, a graduation or announcing your newest bundle of joy into the world, a photographer can help you capture that special memory!

  5. Hi Jodi,

You look so lovely, you are a very pretty lady!

I am camera shy sometimes, I guess a professional photographer would know the best way to put me at ease for a great shot.

I love your outfit, I am very fond of lace, it is such an elegant fabric.

I noticed that your skirt is DIY/ Handmade, very creative!

    • Why thank you Nedoux! What a beautiful name. You are such a beautiful writer. I get camera shy sometimes as well, sometimes just practicing in the mirror will help before a photoshoot so you know what poses you want to strike. Thank you so much for your kindness I really loved your lace diy dress on your blog post “Made of Black” very talented!

  6. Beautiful photos, Jodi-Kay!

Your hair is goals, and I like your dramatic outfit (made even more so by the fact that you wore this to get headshots taken, haha) I hope you do wear it out sometime.

Thank you for stopping by my blog

    xx

    • Thanks girl! Haha yes I did get questioned on my outfit choice but both the photographer and I were excited to work with the tulle! 🙂 Anytime I’ll definitely be back!
